Love Kill

2009

This series of short animations depicts scenes of “the kill”, the act of one animal killing another for the purpose of survival.  The dynamics of struggle and venerability become relevant in this power relationship.  The works use sublet gesture of animation juxtaposed against stillness to create a sublet and evocative picture.  The soundtrack of each work features a love songs, sung in a pathetic and emotional voice, that seemingly complicates this already bizarre love triangle.
