The Hunting
2009
The Hunting tells the narrative of a sister’s rivalry to take over her sibling’s monarch. The story takes inspiration from Hyena societies where dictatorship is governed by a monarch. These wild creatures kill their own to obtain and gain power in their packs. The work is commenting on the uncertain times we live in, questioning hegemony and the power dynamics that seem to fuel much of the world’s societal strife.
